Syed Kamall is a Conservative Member of the European Parliament for London and also President of Vauxhall Conservative Association.In Brussels he is a member of the influential Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee which sets the regulatory framework for one of London's most important industries, financial services.
James grew up in Stourbridge in the West Midlands where he attended his local comprehensive and sixth-form. After reading economics (and watching Everton) at the University of Liverpool, he moved to Clapham fifteen years ago, to start his career as an economist.
