Josh Gething - Chairman

Hi! I’ve lived in Vauxhall ever since moving to London. It’s where I made friends and met my husband – it’s a great area! Part of what makes it great is all the different people you meet – and the local Association has been part of that. I really enjoy talking to people on the doorstep and am profoundly grateful to the Conservatives for introducing me to people of so many different backgrounds – far more than I would have met through work.

Whilst Labour may dominate the local council, it’s worth remembering they only 52% of the vote in 2018. I strongly believe that the work the team does makes an impact, and I’m proud of their work. They’ve helped people forced out by council estate redevelopment get a new home locally, rather than be sent far afield. They’ve successfully applied pressure and got major events on Clapham Common moved to stop damaging this beloved park. They’ve applied pressure for more police, given the hideous toll of knife crime on young people in our Borough. Working with them is humbling and inspiring.
