John has lived in Clapham Old Town for nearly 30 years and his youngest daughter went to Clapham Manor School. It is a great place to live, vibrant and diverse. John spent his working life in retail and so understands that it is the customer who is most important. Having recently become politically active John has found a clear pattern from talking to people on doorsteps - overstretched front line staff are usually doing their best but with management and systems that are inadequate. Poor quality work is not properly overseen and residents' money is wasted. Lambeth Council should be doing a much better job. John wants to help “make a difference”.
