The South London Press has reported that "THREE fire stations in South-east London have been earmarked for potential closure under proposals to slash the London Fire Brigade (LFB) budget by £65million over two years".
In an effort to protect the Clapham Fire Station from the proposed closures, the Clapham Action team have started a petition, that calls on the London Fire Brigade, the Greater London Council and Lambeth Council to support a campaign against any threats to close or downsize the station.
The team will be going from door to door in Clapham Town to collect signatures in the coming weeks, to present to the Fire Authority on 22nd November.
