New figures expose Labour's failure on crime

Police officers in Lambeth are being held back by Whitehall red tape that prevents them from patrolling the streets and catching criminals. In a classic case of short-sightedness, just when the Vassall Neighbourhood Police Team was beginning to succeed at controlling crime, it has been stripped of one of its PCs.

Labour's Parking Blitz - Huge Increase in Tickets Issued

Labours claims about making parking fairer were left in tatters after Lambeth Council officers released figures showing a huge increase in the number of tickets issued in the first four months of 2007.

Tube Ticket Offices to Shut

While car owners come to terms with higher charges, tube passengers will face increasing problems in buying a ticket as London Underground (part of Transport for London) are planning to shut 40 ticket offices permanently and reduce the opening hours at many others across the network.
